Recycled License Plates Yellow Belt Buckle
Straight from our hometown, the infamous Motor City, we bring you a part of Detroit's eclectic style. This gorgeous belt buckle made from retired license plates brings a bit of history, handmade lovin', and eco friendly style all rolled all into one.
These buckles are made from bits of vintage, retired, and even vehicle license plates that were found alongside the road - mostly from the state of Michigan. The unique and handmade nature of this item means that it may have slight variations to the buckle pictured.
The buckles are sprayed with layers of lacquer to protect the paint from chipping, especially on those vintage plates that are in danger of giving up their colors. Rust is a natural part of the lives of these plates, so they, too, are preserved by the lacquer to create the unique, weathered look vehicles get here in the wintry north. The buckles are textured but well-sealed, so they will not snag on clothing or fingers.
Buckles fit snap belts from 1.5" - 1.75" wide. The buckle is 3" x 2" and brass-colored. The belt itself is not included.
